Overview

At Quantalytix, a fintech startup in Birmingham, Alabama, I was the Lead Product Designer tasked with creating a loan performance management (LPM) tool from scratch. The project involved user research, interface design, and visual design, along with establishing a consistent design system. By conducting user interviews and creating empathy maps and personas, I crafted a tool that significantly improved data accessibility and user experience, driving higher engagement and satisfaction.

Spoiler Alert!

Quantalytix was an early-stage startup, and I played a key role in defining their core product based on market gaps. Guided by the CEO's extensive experience in the loan space, we developed a loan performance management (LPM) tool that revolutionized data management. This led to a 30% increase in user engagement and a 40% reduction in time spent accessing loan data, highlighting the impact of user-centered design.

High Level Goals

01

Define and Develop Core Product

02

Enhance Data Accessibility and User Experience

OUTPUT

Key Contributions

1

Conducted user interviews, created empathy maps, and developed personas to understand user needs and pain points.

2

Designed the entire loan performance management (LPM) tool from scratch, including interface, interaction, and visual design.

3

Established and maintained a consistent design system to ensure uniformity across all modules and future scalability.

4

Worked closely with the CEO and development team to align the product with the company's vision and industry best practices.

Comprehensive User Flows

I created detailed user flows to map out each step of the user's journey within the LPM tool. These flows ensured intuitive navigation and efficient task completion, addressing potential pain points early in the design process for a smoother user experience.

User Research & Personas

I conducted thorough user research to understand the needs and behaviors of our target users. Using this data, I developed detailed personas that guided the design process, ensuring the LPM tool was tailored to real user needs and preferences.

Design System

I developed a comprehensive design system that ensured consistency and efficiency across the LPM tool. This included standardized components, guidelines, and a documentation library, making it easier to maintain and scale the design while providing a cohesive user experience.

OUTCOME

Highlights
